ABOUT HUNAN UNIVERSITY OF FINANCE AND ECONOMICS

Located at the foot of Yuelu Mountain, along the west bank of Xiangjiang River in Changsha, capital of Hunan Province, Hunan University of Finance and Economics��HUFE�� is a full-time university featuring economics and management. Developing from Housheng Accounting Institute, which was founded in 1933, the university was officially named Hunan University of Finance and Economics under the approval of the Ministry of Education of China in March 2010. Bordering Xihu Cultural Park and Meixi Lake, HUFE enjoys convenient transportation advantage of Fenglin Road No.2, Jinxing Avenue and Changsha Metro Line 2. Surrounded with lush trees and blooming flowers, the university has been rated as a provincial “Garden Institution��.

HUFE has a total enrollment of over 12,000 students now. Covering a land of 760 mu (about 51 hectares), HUFE has set up 14 schools (e.g.School of Accounting, School of Finance, School of Economics, School of Business Administration, School of Information Technology and Management, School of Public Adiministration, School of Foreign Languages, School of Engineering Management, Housheng School of International Education, School of Mathematics and Statistics, School of Arts, School of Physical Education, School of Political Theories and School of Continuing Education) and 30 undergraduate programs (e.g. accounting, financial management, auditing, public finance, finance, taxation, marketing, human resources management, computer science and technology, information management and system, English, international economy and trade, etc.), among which, accounting, public finance and computer application technology are provincial key construction disciplines and accounting, finance, marketing and financial management are provincial characteristic specialties. HUFE is also well-equipped with teaching facilities, owning 28 computer labs, 157 multimedia classrooms and 9 language labs.

HUFE is devoted to expanding its international exchanges and cooperation. It has already built up joint programs with many universities and colleges in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, South Korea and Thailand, etc. International exchange among teachers and students has been more frequent than ever before. HUFE was authorized to recruit international students by Education Department of Hunan Province in 2013 and launch the first joint undergraduate education program by Ministry of Education in 2015, thereby setting up Housheng School of International Education (HSIE) which is responsible for joint programs, international students education and other international education programs. At present, HUFE accepts international students for non-degree long-term, short-term and preppy Chinese language programs and also provides degree programs for undergraduates.

ABOUT CHINESE LANGUAGE PROGRAMS

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

To help international students improve their Chinese proficiency, experience Chinese culture, adapt to Chinese life and continue their next phase degree education, HSIE adopts an unique model of instruction which has altogether 10 levels in Chinese learning, 4 levels in Fundamental, 4 levels in Intermediate and 2 levels in Advanced. Each level takes about 9 weeks. Students can finish 2 levels each semester in half a year. Students will get into appropriate levels according to the results of a placement test on arrival. Professional and experienced teaching staff ensure the most efficient training in students Chinese speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.

MAIN COURSES

The main courses include intensive reading, extensive reading, listening, speaking, writing, HSK tutorship, newspaper and periodical reading, listening to news broadcasting. Optional courses such as Chinese martial arts, calligraphy and mandarin are also provided.

ABOUT CHINESE PROFICIENCY TEST, HSK

Chinese Proficiency Test, HSK, is an international Chinese proficiency test for non-native Chinese speakers. HUFE provides professional tutorship for students to take the test during the language program.

EXTRACURRICULUM ACTIVITIES

In addition to the regular curriculum, HUFE has multiple students�� societies and academic festivals for students to take part in, enriching their experience and allowing them to better understand Chinese culture, the people and the society.

TEACHING ENVIRONMENT

HUFE enjoys beautiful environment and convenient transportation. All the classrooms are equipped with multimedia system. Also, the library and rich literature documents in it provide students with an enabling environment for self-study.

ACCOMODATION

International students apartment has twin rooms equipped with air-conditioners, independent toilets and bathrooms. Hot water, wireless and cable network are also provided.

STUDY PERIOD

Half-year to two years.

The autumn semester runs from September to January.

The spring semester runs from March to July.

APPLICATION FEE, TUITION AND SCHOLARSHIP

1. Application fee: 800RMB

2. Tuition: 5000RMB/Year

3. Scholarship: Students who have studied the language program in HUFE for over one semester can apply for the HUEF Scholarship for International Students .

APPLICATION REQUIREMNTS

Foreign citizens aging from 18 to 60, in good mental and physical health.

APPLICATION PERIODS

1. Spring semester: Before Nov. 30.

2. Autumn semester: Before May 30.

APPLICATION MATERIALS

1. One completed copy of the bar-coded Application Form together with signature and photograph and other required materials mentioned in the Application GuideHUFE Application Guide .pdf;

2. One regular passport photocopy (personal information page - passport validity must be adequate for study).

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

1. Check the application guide and fill the application form.

2. Send the application form and required documents to [email protected].

3. Pay application fee.

4. Wait for the Admission Notice of HUFE.

5. Apply for study visa in China’s embassies in foreign countries with the Admission Notice and Foreigners Study Visa Application Form in China(JW202).

6. Come to HUFE to register according to the university stipulated time.

一��学校概况

湖南财政经济学院地处湖南省长沙市风景秀丽的湘江之滨、岳麓山下，是一所以经济、管理学科为主体的全日制本科院校。学校前身是1933年创办的��厚生会计讲习所��，历经多年的发展��2010��3月，经教育部批准，学校升格为普通本科院校，正式定名��湖南财政经济学院��。学校与长沙西湖文化公园、梅溪湖毗邻而居，枫林二路、金星大道和地铁二号线为学校提供着便利的交通条件。校园内绿树成荫，花团锦簇，为省��园林式单��，是莘莘学子理想的求学之地��

学校积极推进教育国际化进程，目前已与美国、英国、澳大利亚、新西兰、法国、德国、韩国、泰国等国家和地区多所大学和教育机构建立友好合作和校际交流关系，国（境）外学者来校访问和校内师生赴国（境）外交流学习日趋频繁��2013年，经湖南省教育厅批准，获得来华国际学生招生单位资格��2015年经教育部批准，获得首个中外合作办学本科学历教育项目，筹建了厚生国际教育学院。厚生国际教育学院是湖南财政经济学院负责中外合作办学、国际学生教育及其他国际教育项目的运行和管理的教学单位，是学校开展对外文化交流的重要窗口。目前，学校已启动国际学生招收项目，长期招收本科学历教育生、汉语长期进修生、短期进修生以及汉语预科生等非学历教育生��

二��汉语进修项目的概��

教学特色��为使国际学生提高汉语水平，满足其了解中国文化、适应中国生活的要求，或者顺利地进行下一阶段的学历项目教育，学院采取模块化的教学模式，以汉语水平考试要求��HSK）为参照，划分为初等4级、中��4级、高��2级。每级的教学周为9周，每学期可完成2级的教学内容。学生入校后，进行汉语分班测试，然后进入相应的级次进行学习。优秀的专业教师进行授课，对学生的汉语听、说、读、写等能力进行培训��

进修课程��主要包括汉语精读、泛读、口语、听力、写作��HSK辅导、报刊阅读、新闻听力等，学校还针对国际学生开设一定数量的选修课，包括中国武术、中国书法、普通话发言等��

汉语水平考试��HSK）：汉语水平考试（简��HSK）为测试母语非汉语者的汉语水平而设立的一项国际汉语能力准化考试。学校将组织优秀的汉语教学师资力量，为学生在学习期间参加考试，提供优质的辅导，以帮助学生检验、证明自己的汉语水平��

课外语言实践活动��学校有着浓郁的社团文化，并且每年有着大量的学术节等第二课堂，能够为学生提供精彩的课外语言实践活动，让学生们真正感受到��寓学于乐��

1、报名费：人民币800��

2、学费：5000��/学年
